A Houston firm, built on relationships that predate the internet.

Bayou & Bell Media Group was founded in 2009 by Rosetta Verret. We are still independent, still owner-operated and still working from the same block of Patterson Street.

Our story

Seventeen years of buying this market.

Rosetta Verret spent eleven years on the sales side — first at a Gulf Coast outdoor plant, then at a Houston radio group — before opening Bayou & Bell in 2009. She started the firm for a simple reason: she had watched too many local advertisers buy inventory nobody had checked, at rates nobody had negotiated, with no one reading the post-buy afterwards.

The first client was a family furniture retailer with four stores and a shrinking newspaper budget. They are still with us. So are eleven other accounts we signed before 2015. We have never taken outside investment, never merged, and never grown past the point where the owner can review every plan that leaves the office.

Today the firm bills roughly $3.1 million in media a year across nine metro markets, with a staff of six full-time planners and buyers plus a rotating pair of paid interns from the University of Houston.

Leadership

Who you will be dealing with.

Rosetta Verret

Owner & Principal

Founded the firm in 2009 after eleven years selling outdoor and radio inventory on the Gulf Coast. Reviews every plan before it is sent and personally negotiates all bulletin and network contracts.

Planning desk

Three planners

Build the reach and frequency models, run competitive share-of-voice reads and assemble the three-tier budget proposals. Each planner carries no more than seven active accounts.

Buying & traffic

Two buyers

Issue insertion orders, chase affidavits and proof-of-posting, reconcile invoices line by line and negotiate make-goods when a vendor under-delivers.

How we operate

Five standards we do not bend.

Full rate transparency

Gross rate, our compensation and your net cost appear on the same page of every proposal. Vendor incentives are either passed through or disclosed in writing.

Two-business-day response

Any inquiry received before 4:00 p.m. Central gets a substantive human reply within two business days. Not an autoresponder.

We inspect before we recommend

No out-of-home unit goes on a plan until someone from this office has seen it at the hour your audience will pass it.

Every flight gets a post-buy

Contracted delivery versus actual delivery, in writing, within fifteen days of a flight closing — even when the news is good.

Your accounts stay yours

Digital campaigns run inside advertiser-owned ad accounts. If you leave, you keep the history, the pixels and the audiences.

Plain language only

No proprietary index scores, no invented metrics. If a number cannot be traced to a vendor report or a platform export, it does not go in your deck.

Community

Where the firm shows up locally

We are members of the Greater Houston Partnership and the Texas Association of Broadcasters’ advertiser council. Each year the firm donates planning hours and placement value to two Houston nonprofits selected by staff vote — most recently a Third Ward literacy program and a Montrose animal rescue.
